the artist's role in culture
The artist's role in culture is to destroy culture and self, and as with all destruction to create something out of it.

artists role in culture
Artists often work outside the normal society and the economic market, so are able to express unorthodox views. Such people are `dangerous` and so are often the natural enemies of some ..like politicians for instance. Long may they range untamed.
